Tips On How To Work From Home & Stay Productive

Hey, fam! I’m sharing with you 8 habits/tips that I implement when I work from home. Now, I’ve been doing this for the past year now and I must say, I love it. But staying productive and organized is a skill that I had to develop. It’s super easy to get distracted and unmotivated at home. But hang in there. Start implementing positive habits that help you stay productive. Today, I’m sharing with you my secrets to doing just that.

While we need to be informed and aware of what is happening in our world is really important. I also think it’s unhealthy to focus 100% of your energy on covid-19. So I hope you use this time at home to work on your passion projects, reignite an old hobby of yours or let yourself be still for once. All that is healthy.

Okay let’s dive in!

8 TIPS THAT KEEPS MY PRODUCTIVE WHEN WORKING FROM HOME:

  1. Wake up early & start your day with a solid morning routine— here’s mine, freshen up in the bathroom, yoga, mediation/visualization, journal and 10 minutes of reading.
  2. Try to get ready! I’m not the best at this but on the days where I try to look somewhat presentable, I feel more lively.
  3. Have a schedule (do the best you can with this). Block out chunks of time for everything— projects, emails, video meetings, workouts, dinner, breaks, anything! Do this the night before or plan it over the weekend 🙂
  4. Use the 50METHOD, 50 minutes of uninterrupted work, 10 minutes of break time.. and repeat 3-5 times per day.
  5. Make it a goal to move your body during your breaks. Light stretch, yoga, jumping jacks whatever. Bonus: try to get outside in the afternoon for fresh air or do an at-home workout routine!
  6. Connect with a friend, coworker, colleague over lunch via text, call or video chat. Social distancing doesn’t mean we should stop connecting with others.
  7. Designate days for chores so you don’t feel obligated to work on it during “office time”.
  8. Stock your pantry and fridge with healthy snacks like veggies, fruits, nuts etc. It makes it easy to make better choices that way 🙂

I hope this helps. If you have any favorite habits, drop them below!

With love,

Bella
